Studying Business with Zayn
"Okay, so the dictionary says that monopoly means: exclusive control of a commodity or service in a particular market, or a control that makes possible the manipulation of prices. Right.” You said to yourself, writing down the definition in your notes. Your mid-term for your economics & business class was coming up and you needed to make sure you were at least going to get an A on it. “Zayn, can you hand me that calculator?” You asked your boyfriend, who was quietly observing and trying to help you study. “Yep, here.” He said, handing it to you. “Could you do me a big favour and look up the definition of altruism please?” Zayn smiled, grabbing the dictionary and reading out the definition in the stupidest voice possible. “Zayn!” You said, hitting his arm playfully. “Okay okay okay, Altruism: the principle or practice of unselfish concern for or devotion to the welfare of others." You sighed and wrote that one down too. "I think you should be more altruistic right now Mr. I-don’t-have-to-go-to-school." You said to Zayn sassily. Zayn smirked and chucked. "Nope! No more studying for me! I’d rather study the business of the profits we make off gigs, to be honest." You rolled your eyes and smiled, scribbling down more notes. "Listen, I’m not going to be of any help to you here, so I’ll go order us a pizza and make sure we get the most economically wise choice." You laughed and stuck out your tough, grateful that Zayn was at least trying to help.
