Supermarket with Liam
It isn’t too often that someone ordinary can think of getting so lucky.
That’s why it took you aback so much that night you met him. You met him. You remembered very clearly, and smiled at the thought. You dragged your feet through the bright aisles of the supermarket, hearing a loud squishing sound of your flip flops hitting the bright, tiled floor. It had been raining outside, so you shook your feet out a little bit to get the water off of them. You and your friends were having a girls’ night, and you were the one who got picked to go pick up some late night snacks. You walked through the aisles, trying to remember what it was your friend wanted…cranberry juice, you think she had said? You weren’t sure, she had so many favourite foods. You decided to text her, to confirm. Sure enough, a few minutes later you heard the familiar bing bong! of your phone, and clicked it open to read the message. “yeah gurl, remember my cran juice & choco pretzels! oh, and darsi’s super spicy doritos - member those too! :) ” You nodded to yourself, and walked down the bright aisles. There! In front of you was a wall of different flavour doritos, and you flipped open your phone to check which ones your friend had wanted - and it was then that you encountered him. With your phone up you hadn’t noticed a boy right in front of you also picking up some doritos, which you knocked out of his hand. “Oh, I’m so sorry!” You laughed, picking up the bag for him. You hadn’t thought anyone would be in the supermarket this late anyways, it was pretty much completely empty. “Oh, no trouble at all. Thanks!” He said, and it was there you thought you had heard his voice before, very distinctly English sounding. Looking up, you saw the boy in full view (who couldn’t be older than 18 or 19) with his sweet smile, light brown eyes and styled-up brown hair. That was then you realized who he was. “I-I wasn’t paying much attention there - I knocked you doritos on the ground I’m really sorry - ” You stammered out, smiling sheepishly. “Really don’t worry about it,” He laughed, “My friend made me run in here to grab him some food - he’s always hungry. I’m sure he’ll like ‘em dropped or not.” You laughed and grabbed another bag of 1st Degree Doritos like the boy had. “I’m on a snack run for my friends too, I don’t know how she can handle all this spice though.” Liam laughed again, his laugh was sweet and genuine. “Oh, tell me about it! How is it our friends eat so much?” “Mystery to me.” You said, rolling your eyes. “My name’s Liam, by the way…” Liam said quietly. “I’m (Y/N), nice to meet you Liam!” Liam ended up helping you find all the items on your list, and you silently reminded yourself to thank your friends for having an appetite.
